Wayfinder Archery cultivates an environment to know thyself via the practice of shooting arrows with great intention, awareness, and discipline. Traditional Archery has been a hunting, warfare, and Zen practice of many lineages for thousands of years.

Mikhel offers education in regards to traditional archery & instinctive shooting basics, equipment knowledge and care, proper form, range etiquette & safety, and acknowledgment of the lineage line of Ishi of the Yana-Yahi tribe to the current day Traditional Archery influences.

Wayfinder brings people together to remember who they are through the power of presence, self reflection, embodiment, yielding weapons well, and good ole’ fashion humor.

Pathways of Education

  • Traditional Archery Workshops & Retreats


    Workshops offer ½ day to multi-day participation. Retreats are multi-day. Traditional Archery is the baseline of all the events offering variations such as women’s only, co-ed, youth only, and/or immersion style.

    Immersion workshops and retreats deeply focus on the inner terrain. Utilizing archery, council, journaling, awareness tracking, movement, tea and nature to return to our center, our inner authority.

  • Archery Skill Share Workshops & Retreats


    Where Traditional Archery and epic skill shares come together for one day to multi-day participation. Skill Shares might include: Knot tying, shelter building, primitive camping, knife sharpening, fire making & tending, canning, butchering, backcountry first aid & herbalism, tracking and identification, cooking over fire, basket weaving, broom making, animal processing, hide tanning, etc. If you are interested in collaborating or joining forces, don’t hesitate to reach out!

  • Private Lessons 1:1 or Small Group


    If you’re feeling called to experience Traditional Archery, want to solidify your existing relationship, or are interested in taking your practice to another level, I recommend private lessons.

    The one on one time or small group learning setting enables eagle eye awareness on you, allowing deeper development, understanding, and swifter integration.

clear- voice loud, commands a room/range, kind- heart is open,
